Our Christmas 2015

We hope you had the Merriest Christmas. Ours was very special. For the first time ever, the Robinson and Vargas clan spent the entire Christmas day together. Both of Ryan's brothers and our sister-in-law made their ways from across the country to snuggle in and have a great family day.  My sister and her family stayed for the majority of the day as well. Nothing better!

We have a lot of traditions leading up to birth of our Savior. The most important is that we focus and worship our King. We love the sparkle and glitter of this beautiful holiday- but nothing outshines that sweet baby boy. I'm so thankful our kids know this and are loving the Christmas Truth and its significance. Briggs kept telling us that "Jesus is the best part about Christmas". You got that right, kid.

She's loving White Christmas. Its been my own tradition since I've lived with Ryan to watch it every Christmas Eve. And now I have someone who appreciates it too. A girl after my own heart.

My kids LOVE popcorn. So Aunt Mel and Uncle Scott's gift was genius. A Mickey Mouse popcorn machine. And for K, jammies are optional while enjoying the popcorn.

I love sending and receiving Christmas cards throughout the season. It's one of my favorite traditions. This year I decided to hand address each recipient so I could say a little prayer for their family while doing it.

Memphis Christmas 2015

We are back from our Memphis trip! Uncle Scott and Aunt Mel live there and Uncle Lance's basketball team had a tournament down there the week before Christmas. This trip was extra special for all of us because it fell on Diane's (Nana) birthday. So to spend time together was important to all of us. And so, we soaked up the Home of the Blues all weekend long. :)

Every time we visit, we have to see the march of the ducks at the Peabody. This was Kerigan's first time! 

Then we visited the Pink Palace

Before we took off, we had a great family brunch in the city. Poor Uncle Lancey wasn't feeling great so he couldn't come. 

At brunch, Kerigan was introduced to a new chocolate dessert. And this video is everything. #justlikenana

We made some great memories! Such a great way to kick off Christmas week!

Polar Express 2015

We just experienced our third annual Polar Express trip! This has become one of our favorite family traditions. Briggs was pumped. He remembered the train, cookies, "warm" cocoa, Santa and the North Pole from last year. Kerigan had barely turned one last year, so this was her "first" time all over again. She was terrified of the Polar Express Bear, Snowflake. She wouldn't take her eye off of him. She didn't trust that guy one bit. But Briggs loved him. Briggy even taught the bear his favorite dance. 

I'm so thankful we got to go this year. It was a game-time decision because Kerbear wasn't feeling well earlier that day. But thank goodness for her quick recovery. And we're even more thankful for matching pajamas.

But Little Miss wanted to keep a distant eye on him. She didn't even give the jolly old elf a chance. 

But she sure does love those cookies. 

We love the Polar Express! So happy to kick off the Christmas season with this family fun.

Fellowship Friday: She Reads Truth

Yay December! The most wonderful time of the year :-) I love the Spirit of Christmas, but this year, something's different. It's sinking in, guys. The magnitude of what this season brings.  Today's Fellowship Friday, I'm talking again about She Reads Truth. I've briefly mentioned it here a few months back. But since then, its gotten even better. 

As of November 29, the She Reads Truth community started their Advent study. And I'm falling more in love with my quiet time, the Word and our King. Through several studies, She Reads Truth has been a tool for me to dive deeper and understand more fully the passages. I want to get up in the morning to do my Bible study. It's sacred. I've never understood nor connected to a study like I have with SRT. Many studies have been great and I've learned a lot. But what I love about SRT is, its not someone's opinion. Its solely based on the Word. It digs deep. It makes sense. And the way it helps you memorize scripture, has been a love letter to my soul.  

And good news guys, there's a He Reads Truth community as well. The HRT community typically coincides with the SRT community's study. So what a great opportunity to study or discuss with our husbands. Ryan and I are doing this Advent study at the same time and then discussing at night. SRT has been such a blessing. I encourage you all, to take a look and try out a sample study. You won't regret it. <3
